Meet Our Founder

Hi, I’m Laprisee Williams-Benjamin, the founder of Aw-Cal Learning, a microschool and tutoring center dedicated to supporting families right here in our community. As a registered nurse and homeschooling mom, my journey into education began with a deep desire to create a space where children could learn with care, compassion, and confidence. Especially those who need a more personalized path. I founded Aw-Cal Learning to provide a nurturing environment where every child feels seen, supported, and celebrated, whether they’re attending micro-school classes or receiving tutoring. I’m beyond excited to walk alongside families as we build a strong, joyful foundation for lifelong learning together!
